What's the difference between “Buyers,” “Inquirers,” and “Compiled?”

Buyers are direct mail respondents that have actually responded to direct mail from M&C and placed an order with us.

Inquirers are direct mail respondents that have responded to direct mail from M&C seeking additional information about our products, but have not yet placed an order.

Both Buyers and Inquirers have been proven to respond to direct mail.

Compiled names have been culled from the yellow pages, CPA societies, licensing boards, and the like, but have not as yet responded to any direct mail from M&C.

Can we get phone numbers and/or email addresses?

Currently, we rent only the company name, contact, and address.

Can you exclude prior rentals? If I rent 5,000 names now, can I rent additional names at a later date and exclude the prior list?

Yes, we keep a record of your list rentals for one year and can easily exclude prior lists.

How many times can I use my rented list?

Names are rented on a one-time use basis. A 6-month multi-use agreement is priced at 2 times the base rate. A 12-month multi-use is at 3 times the base rate. You can mail as many times as you want during that time frame.

What if I want only records containing a contact name? Is there an extra charge?

There is no extra charge to select 4-line addresses (contact name and company name). However, our 3-line addresses are sole practitioners and, therefore, you have the contact that counts (the owner).

What selects are available? What are the charges?

The first 10 SCF selects are FREE. For additional SCFs, the cost is $25 plus $2.50/thousand.

State selects are at no charge.

What formats are available and what are the charges?

You can receive your list on disk, pressure-sensitive labels, or via e-mail. There is no additional charge for any of the formats. And, if you elect to receive your list via e-mail, you avoid the shipping charge.

The software we use for processing lists interacts directly with the USPS database for address validation and is CASS* Certified.

*Stands for Coding Accuracy Support System and means the software used has passed stringent address tests from the United States Postal Service.

How often are your lists updated?

Lists are updated frequently through an address correction mailing. We mail to our lists numerous times throughout the year, so we are constantly receiving updated address information and new names.
